I thought you'd like it, emo kid that you are. Wait until you see the rest of it. It's like Recieving End of Sirens meets Becky Cloonan's East Coast Rising.

I also certainly recognize the names.

Have you read "East Coast Rising"? Is it any good?

Hmm... well I have sorta mixed feelings about ECR. Becky is definitely a better artist than writer, at least at this point. But the visuals are amazing and the storytelling is pretty solid, plus the character designs are top notch. But the story itself is sorta ho-hum. Like a rock opera, one could say. Beautiful and with pretentions of something big and epic, but not quite all the way there.

Oh, and I'm thinking about actually calling it True Hearts on the Good Ship Revenge or something similarly emo. Suggestions?

I AM NOT AN EMO KID. [/denial]

Your suggested title seems a bit more flowery than emo (which is cool). "The Broken Wheel" is actually very emo, IMHO. (Alas, name collision with Burning Wheel.)

Other ideas:
* Hearts at Sea
* Waves of Regret
* The Heartbreak Expedition
* Starboard Confessional (pun!)

I'm looking at the broken wheel, and one think keeps running through my head...

"stuff?"

or...

"What's another name for pirate treasure?"

Spoils.

I think Rich was making a Beastie Boys reference.

ie, the alliteration is nice, but it seems a great shame to have a game about pirates and sex that does not use the term "Booty"

Alternatively:

Swag?

Yeah, Rob's got me right -- booty -- that's what it is. Though I have to admit, I did miss the alliteration (I have no excuse). In which case, I do like "spoils," actually.

Still, there must be a place for booty in there somewhere.

Well, I imagine there's gonna be enough booty jokes as it is. Also, I need a word that's specifically about treasure and goods and barrels of gunpowder, one that's not also a synonym for sex, because we already have Sex. I'll make sure there's still plenty of booty to go around.

Might I suggest "swag"? There is "loot" also, but "swag" sound more pirate to me, also in keeping with your s words.

"Swag" definitely works too. I mean, if we want to make all the wheel elements into short piratey verbs, we could go with:

Scrap (Sword)
Slum (Social)
Spot/Spy (See)
Sail (er...Sail)
Sack (Stuff)
Snog (Sex)
Snuff (Slay)

I like "Sack" because it's both a verb, as in "ransack," and a noun, as in "my sack of booty." What's the verb form of "swag"? "Swaggle"?

... or simply Cutlasses My Heart?
