Push is Go for Launch

I am very pleased to announce (having just recieved the final, beautiful copies from the UPS man) that Push vol 1 is now available. Copies can be purchased from the fine folks at Lulu for $17 (it'll probably be around $20, with shipping). You can find a link to our Lulu site on the menu bar of the new Push webpage.

I'll try to mail off a copy to Ken Hite and Paul Tevis today, to start the hype machine running.

Contributors and commentators! You folks get free copies. Let me know how and when you want them. If you send me an address, I'll mail one to you. Otherwise, you can either pick them up at GenCon (where I will be bringing a stack of at least 50). Or in some other fashion of your choosing.

We did it, folks. Booyeah.

I am sorry, Jonathan, but Lulu's outrageoous shipping prices would double Push's price for me. Unless other options are available, I probably won't be able to get it.

This is not to say I wouldn't pay the price for Push itself - it's really about the shipping.

Where are you, Harold? Is it the international shipping that's a pain? If so, we can definitely work something out, where you send some money directly to me and I mail you a copy.

For folks in the US, I don't think it should be much more than $20 USD.

FYI,

Shipping to me in NC with tax cost 9.50 bringing the total to 26.50.

That's pretty steep. I'd see if you can't find a better alternative for vol 2.

That said, I'm greatly looking forward to getting my copy.

Michael

Interesting. Let me check on this. The prices for shipping copies of the books to myself is, I think, much lower than that. Weird.

Yo, I'm getting USPS Priority Mail at $5.76 and normal Media Mail at $2.48 to North Carolina. You gotta make sure to change your shipping options or they'll charge you almost $8.00 for UPS Ground (the default).

Hi, is it possible for you to keep me one at gencon please?

USPS was not an option listed in the drop down I got when ordering. I looked for it to try and get the lowest postage I could get. Is there something in user preferences that needs to be set up for this?

FR Brand, there will be a bunch at GenCon, at the Forge Booth. So, yeah, you can stop by and get one.

Michael, weird. I created a new account just so I could make sure I was getting the same shipping options as other customers and that's what I got. Do you mind pretending to order another one to see if you can get the other options?

You have to switch your postal options in the Shopping Cart before you click "Checkout." The options I get are:

- UPS Ground ($7.82)
- UPS 2nd Day Air ($15.59)
- UPS Next Day Air Saver ($35.77)
- US Postal Priority ($5.76)
- US Postal Express ($22.56)
- US Postal Regular Media ($2.48)

Currently my copy is in route (today stopping over in Harrisburg PA).

I had to buy a drool cup today while I wait. :D

(was that too fanboy of me?)

I have in front of me a lovely first edition copy of the first volume of PUSH!

YAY!

It's a beautiful book and I look forward to reading the entire thing over the next few days. Already I'm finding stimulating intrigue with Emily Boss' article (about half way through it.)

Well done, J-man...my only complaint is now that you aren't here I can't actually get a SIGNED copy. ;)

Review of Boss article.

Just a few thoughts and ideas I put down in response to Boss' article. It was a great read.
